A New Look for Knowledge Quest

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±app

CHICAGO – The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) is proud to announce a new look to our official association journal, Knowledge Quest (KQ). After fourteen years, the KQ refresh offers a fresh coat of paint on an old classic, with the previous layout and aesthetic retiring. Knowledge Quest, while sporting a bold new look, will still provide the school librarian field with the expertise and fresh perspectives for which it is known.

Becky Calzada, AASL President said “The AASL KQ Journal is a long-standing publication which provides information, research and resources for our school library community. It is our hope that current and future readers will be excited about the KQ design refresh and continue to be inspired by the content they read.” Knowledge Quest has been a staple of AASL, and has promoted collaboration and continued education for AASL members since its creation. The new design of KQ embraces those origins, but also cultivates a more dynamic, engaging, and ultimately accessible vision for the publication. The redesign of the print version is also just the first step in a redesign of the Knowledge Quest website and blog, which will promote partnerships between the AASL and other organizations, as well as with school librarians from across the country and abroad. The KQ website is also undergoing a redesign, which will be revealed in the near future.

AASL members who are interested in writing for Knowledge Quest can via the KQ website, or can contact the Knowledge Quest editorial board. AASL is proud to provide KQ as both a leading journal for school librarianship, and an opportunity for empowering leadership in the field. AASL members who write for KQ and, particularly new authors, are encouraged to submit articles that develop a robust curriculum vitae while engaging with the school library community. An AASL member benefit, Knowledge Quest is published bimonthly, from September to June. Members can access the newest Knowledge Quest on the , as well as back issues.
